Hi all, I have a friend who does plastic casting and specializes in NLA lenses for cars and motorcycles. I've been talking to him about doing a run of reproduction lenses for the early, globe-style M turn signal lenses. Below is a sample of the work he recently did for unobtanium BMW K100RS turn signal lenses. The top lens is OEM. The bottom two are his reproductions. Target price would be around $100 for a pair of lenses. That price may go down if we get significant interest/commitment. I'm not to the point of collecting money yet, just gauging interest. Let me know in the thread below if you'd be interested, and what you think of the target price.

Very nice work. I take it you're in the US so that would be 100 USD, an unfortunate conversion we down-under need to take into consideration.

Apparently Stuart Knox in the UK is already making these.

Yes, he has. He's t140v on this board.
Would you like me to close this thread then?

This thread is now locked. I'm leaving it here as propav8r's friend's workmanship is worth looking at to see what can be achieved. It also promotes the existing work of Stuart, t140v.
Thanks for taking the initiative to post propav8r It reminds us that if one source of "unobtanium" parts dries up, it may not be the end of the world.
