Hi,` For the French or European members, I'll be in June at the Coupes Moto Légende, I send my application for the touristic rallye yesterday. It could be a good occasion to gather some Rotary... Hope to see a few of our bikes their in June. Jean-Denis

Hi,
I will come to the "Coupes Moto Légende", but not with my RE5 because I will have to come alone and my RE5 is not sufficiently reliable to travel a quite long distance. I am afraid to have a breakdown before arrival...
But anyway I will be happy to meet there with other RE5 owners, with or without their RE5.

Hi, I'm probably a little bit crazy as my plan is to ride the 900km (560miles) from Capbreton to Dijon on my bike and back, so nearly 2000km (1250 miles)in total during the week. Anyway it will be a pleasure to meet there.

Hi,
I hope you will have no trouble with your RE5 during this long trip. If I see your bike there, I will recognise you instantly as there are rarely RE5's at "Coupes Moto Légende". I am now working on my second RE5 and hope it will be sufficiently reliable to ride 1000 miles too. Who knows ?

If my body were able, (it is not), I would get on ANY of my personal bikes and ride them anywhere.
The Re5 is exceptionally reliable, even by today's standards. The issue is neglect and poor maintenance or unqualified repair people.
Japanese bikes set a new standard for reliable operation staring with the CB-750 in 1969, and the Re5 is no exception. IMHO, it exceeds many of the 70's bikes for it's engine longevity and durability, if properly cared for. Just ask Tim.
Just my opinion, Your mileage may vary.
Regards,

Hi I might think about going to Coupes Moto Legende as I’ve run my CR750 Honda there are they running it at Dejon or monthley just outside Paris, as Dejon is some miles from Kent in UK but Paris is a genital ride down. here is my old Honda at Goodwood sadly I no longer own her but I have the memories of years I had her and circuits we ran her.

Hi Jean-Denis,
I was at Motolegendes, but sadly only with my RE5 cap as my bike was damaged at "Journées du Patrimoine" and not repaired since then. Unfortunately, I could'nt find you among the 30 000 people and 3000 bikes. I met with a guy with an orange RE5 who was running as H742 (the only RE5 I saw). He said that he met you.
I think that we will have to find a solution next time to be able to find us at that place.
Regards

Hi Grosours,
Next time we'll have to set-up a meeting point. My trip was very good, the bike run very well, 2200kms with just one spark plug to change.
Here is a few pictures of my trip:

Great trip, and such beautiful country with your pictures.
Just curious with your plug failure, was there identification on the hex portion of the plug?
Again, speechless of your trip and bike.
