All,
This question was posed on the Rotary Club site ..... from a U.K. based RE5 owner. I have told him I don't believe RE5 taps had the Reserve blocked off, but I stand to be corrected .....
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Not a factory or dealer mod as far as I know. Not on any other Suzuki's typical of the era either, GT or GS.

I wonder if they are confusing the internal vent hose for the reserve block off?
The GT-750 B petcock internals may be used , maybe that is what they are referring to?
Tim
P.S. I always run on reserve taking fuel from the bottom and rely on my low level sensor.

There is no reserve on the old 1500 Goldwings. You must rely on the gauge and the low level sensor which, like the RE5, puts up a light. I was told that once the light was on, you still had "heaps" left.
The light can fail.
Don't ask how I know.
