I have a compression tester that does not want to turn the paper roll much without me aiding it by hand. With help it turns the motor but I don't like pulling the paper cause I don't get a real clean reading. Is there a simple fix? Thanks

From what I remember of mine without digging it out of the garage, there is a spring loaded roller holding the paper against the drive roller, is yours making contact with good spring pressure?

Mine too.
What Jeff says, it works and you get a nice steady printout. Alternative is too open the box when it's working and lightly place a finger on the rubber roller so that it better drives the paper.
I'm sure there is a fix like increasing spring pressure but for the amount I use it, the steady hand works well enough.
