Hi all, a few members were interested on what the inside of my repro indicator backs looked like so I thought I would show what I did start to finish to end up with a reasonable reproduction. 1.Had to make a new cutting post for my radius cutter as the old one could not make a 90mm ball. 2.Have a go making a simple half moon shape from a block of Aluminium. Make sure I could machine the hole for the indicator stem.

4.Last try altered the start of machining to leave a foot on the bottom of the back so that it could be gripped in the jaws of the lathe then machined as much metal out as possible, if I had a rotary milling table would have been able to remove the metal marked with black ink. Hope that answers everyone's questions. Regards Stuart.

Thank you for the guided tour. Something that sticks out so prominently on the bike should look first rate. Jeff

Very nice job.
I am nowhere near talented enough to pull that one off myself.
Bravo.
