I had a problem with my petcock where the on position flowed a bit of fuel, prime had none and reserve had none. Took the petcock off the tank as I'm painting it anyway, and saw first up that there were no screens on the res and on inlets... Took the bowl off and not only was there one of the screens stuffed in there (why???) but also a huge amount of crap! I'm thinking it might flow a bit better now that it's clean... Oh, by the way, anyone know where we can get new screens from? I need one for the other bike as well.

Andy The screens are a tight fit inside the bowel and are the same as the ones on the inlet pipes on the tap inside tank and are still available from Suzuki for aprox £6 Uk

Well stuff me drunk! Didn't think for one second they would still be available. And they have them in the bowl?? That would explain why they were in there then!
Looks like I'll be on the phone to Suzuki in the morning. Thanks Rog!

I didn't know they were still available either. Great news.
Tip: Match up a replacement O-ring to seal the diaphragm carefully, that is the key to fuel tap operation.

Well I ordered the last four in captivity in Australia (well that's what he said!). Massive $6 each.
In terms of the o ring- I haven't decided yet but may convert to the on/off non vac assisted style. Jury's out as I have plenty of o rings to match...

Jury's outIt would be just like me to go do a burnout and forget to turn on the gas I checked here locally and they had no listing or availability for the screens, although it didn't show discontinued on the dealers parts list.
