One of our board members (Hunter) let us know a few months back that an Australian motorcycling show had reviewed his three rotaries across three shows- the DKW Hercules 2000, Norton Classic and Suzuki RE5.
If you missed it, it's been cut and compiled into one 10 minute video and uploaded to youtube. Have a look before the copyright Nazis have it removed. I've credited the show and it's free advertising for them so maybe they'll leave it alone.

Wayne,
Thanks for posting it mate.
Kim...
Nice looking stable. I'm jealous of the Norton. Always wanted one for my collection. Exceptional w-2000. Very pretty! Your RE looks great!
Cheers!

Brilliant Wayne, thanks.
I love riding my Classic and DKW both are great bikes. As you say, Deeks are Hercules in the rest of the world except England and Australia. After Sachs ceased producing bikes Norton bought all of the rights to the Rotary engine and equipment including existing stock and machinery. The Norton 588cc engine, twice that of the 294cc DKW / Hercules was produced using the original trochoid grinder and rotors, seals / springs and bearings are directly interchangerble. The early W2000 rotors welding would break and wreck the engine, later Sachs rotors addressed this and the Norton type are even better.
Regards, Joe.

Et Tu Joe ? You lucky man you. A full house of rotaries. Glad you enjoyed it, although they are hardly "in depth" reviews.
Cheers,

It`s great to see these bikes being ridden and not sitting on the floor in a museum. The video explaining the RE5 carb was also very interesting to watch. Thank you for the post.

Thank you Wayne for doing that so all could see. The "Cycle Torque" magazine is a free monthly publication, they earn their income from all the advertising etc so I don't think there would be any issues with copy write, Besides, they still owe me some video footage and some of the still photos.
It was a really great experience for me in doing it too. I did get do some riding in the moving shots.
Certainly good publicity for our wankel powered bikes. I still get people asking and commenting on them whenever I am out on them or even my other bikes. When I am on one of them, my fellow riders are helping the publicity. They say to new observers "Yeah, but you should see what else he has in his garage".
Thank you Jess for your kind words. I had the best "spotter" ever looking for my Hercules.
