I must confess that I am only new to the model of bike which is the RE5, but I have had a passion for motorcyces since getting my first one at age 5 and have owned may over the years.
But in my relentless search for all things Suzuki RE5 I see on Ebay there is several bikes being broken down to the last nut and bolt. I understand that parts are hard to come by and it is through bikes being broken that other bikes can continue on. But it still pains me to see them turned into a hundred bits and know that there is 1 less complete bike out there.
Just wondering whats your thoughts on this??

With the Kawasaki Triples, there are sellers on ebay who just buy them and part them out. That is there entire business on ebay. The only one that bothered me quite a lot was a 1970 H1 that I had a chance to get for $2000 about 3 or 4 years ago but I didn't due to not having the spare money. The guy who ended up getting it, parted it out, making about 3 times his purchase price, but destroying an original very nice shape and rare H1. This is the bike that I could have purchased. In this shape it would now be worth the same amount or more than the guy who parted it out got.
