Mostly deleted this post... I starting off asking about testing my temp sender but turned out the workshop manual procedure values are wrong and also my dash voltage reg was bad as well. Disregard!

Andy,
I haven't checked these but I have different specs. 50C =150.0 +/m 10 ohms. 120c =15.0 +/- 5 ohms I know if the wire connector is loose on the sensor it will read colder than actual. Plain water will change values somewhat when testing rather than 50/50 and oil is OK too to test.. Don't test in the Wifes kitchen! Timpa136

Hmm, interesting. You have a high/cold, low/hot sender. The manual definitely states it should be the opposite: [***EDIT***Note: this is half right- the 88 celcius reading is correct but the 110 celcius is wrong and opposite what it should be!]
