Some of you may know already. I will be riding my 1976 RE5A in the 2009 Iron Butt Rally starting August 24. The rally covers 11,000 miles in 11 days. The rally will start from Spartanburg, SC and end in Spokane, WA with checkpoints in St. Charles IL and Santa Ana, CA. I've been working hard on this bike, with lots of help from a lot of folks, including Sam, Jess, Tim Johnson, and several other non-RE5 types. What the Sam Hill type of headlight is that or is it a cannon from an A10 warthog???

Very cool! As my RE5 sits, anything over 30 miles is really really far. Yours looks like a much better distance machine, best of luck to you!
