Does owning nine of the bastards and doing all the servicing and rebuilding work on them qualify me? Isn't there a starting fluid that bears a striking similarity? Tim haha yes there is Tim. Start Ya Bastard!! I use it regularly on my old Rolls, but never on the RE!

I was trained and certified by Suzuki in 1975 for exchange of the proper unit and all other service tasks. In February 76 we had training for the new model. The RE5-M was introduced to the Norwegian market until the 76 season. The bikes for sale in season 76 was in place winter 75. The training was with 14 dealers from all over Norway, and was held by a Japanese factory engineer together with Mr. Aage Hansen, representative from Suzuki importer in Norway. Mr Aage was trained by Suzuki in Japan, and he was the only Norwegian ever to certified to open and service the proper unit. Mr Hansen is still going strong by the age of 82, and I can still get his help when needed. We are rebuilding our proper units locally in Norway.
Best Regards Gunnar Bakken
