One check valve. Left hand side of carb, used to inject oil into the rotor. Look for the banjo bolt (copper washers on both sides of it) between the carb and the radiator. Jeff

On VERY early bikes there were two. One on the metering pump and one on the carburetor.
The one on the pump was deleted very early in production as it was redundant.
If your bike has one, it should be removed and replaced with a later fitting with no valve.
The check valve that I made are a replacement for the one at the carburetor. DO NOT use one at the metering pump as it checks the wrong way and will cause engine failure.
Just my 2 cents.

Hi,
I am a bit late, but it seems that you still have some electronic ignition kits and carburetor check valves.
Is it right ?
If the answer is yes, I will ask to my banker how to send the money via Western Union.

Grosours,
I have sent you a message via the personal message service the board offers. Please check your messages.
I try not to tie up threads with individual part requests. It is better and more courteous to the board that way.
Regards

The check valve in this case is the one that screws into the side of the carby between it and the radiator. The OEM units can fail. If they do, fuel will run down the check valve pipe into the metering oil pump and stop the flow of oil. The engine will run for a long time but serious damage is inevitable. Easy to check. Disconnect black oil line at check valve and connect syringe. You should be able to pump into the valve but not suck. Member Jess probably still has some modern replacements for sale. For more details and a look inside a sectioned check valve look here: re5rotary.proboards.com/thread/2158/check-valve

Mentioned to me from a fellow member, why can't the redundant check valve (the one used to oil the drive chain on earlier bikes) be used at the pump end carb port to provide the carb instead of the plain banjo, then the plain banjo or original check at the carb connection (check mate:), same direction of check? The chain oiler port blanked off as advised. I have Jess check valves anyhow, just a thought.

The check valve on the pump for chain lobe is a “out going” valve and the one on the Carb is “in going” The lager in going one is Alloy and chain “out going” is smaller and brass. Do not mix these up and if un certain blow/spray through pipe attachment end to check . The chain one should not let anything return back through to the clamp hole .

Well, what is this check valve Suzuki part no 16710-35010 also shows up on the TS185 oil metering pump? Cant find that part number on the RE5 fiche part partzilla says it also fits the re5. The re5 fiche calls for 16710-37011. They look identical.

And from my limited knowledge of part numbers, the difference in those two numbers is nominal. I'd bet they were the same. Buy one and compare. Couldn't be too expensive could it?
