Also, Allan you are in luck. Go to resources on the board and click on carburetor diagram. In nearly every case each jet is its own size/ thread. Hope this will help as the resources are a valuable set of information.

Kerstin, I doubt that your accelerator pump is causing this. I agree with Mike. I have had the same problem as you trying to start the bike. I use a simple solution- I clamp off the fuel line before storage with a scissor clamp. Fitting an inline tap like Mike has done is a better long term solution. Just make sure the tap you get actually does shut off the fuel. Many don't, they still allow fuel to trickle past. Please note that TIMPA136 thinks that he may have a new float needle and seat if you need it.

I had checked the pedcok. The pedcok is leaking. So we change the membran inside. Now the leaking is neerly stopped.
But inside the intake for the air there is a small pipe of brass. There is fuel always leaking. This is the reason why I assume the accelerator pump does not stop working. And this could be caused by the twisted needle. soit will be very nice to get some help to find a spare part. Kerstin

Contact Stuart Knox I normally contact him on Facebook he makes the needles . I just ordered one from him. You may be having an issue with the accelerator check valve

I may be wrong but I don't think that a fault with the accelerator pump check valve would be causing this. The ball in the valve is not spring loaded, I think the accelerator pump check valve only works when the pump is activated by the twist grip and the pressure seats the ball preventing back flow into the carb bowl. Any other time, the ball would be fairly loose in it's passage way and is designed to allow fuel to flow into the accelerator pump, but not the reverse.
I'm away and without a manual, perhaps some other ideas for Kerstin ?

I have the same problem with my bike . Also missing the Acc pump needle . I was told it was the missing needle or the check valve . I calibrated the float . Aside it only does it if I turn the bike on and accelerate it , once I turn the bike off it starts leaking from the accelerator pump needle. If I turn the bike on with out touching the accelerator let let it warm up the turn it off it does not leak . I should be getting my needle in the next few days and will test it again. Any other ideas will help .
