I had the rare and privileged opportunity to visit Jess at RR yesterday and was truly saddened to hear this news.
Jess, you truly are one of the good guys and your dedication to rotary bikes and the RE in particular since taking over from Sam has been outstanding.
Apart from a solid part supply for our bikes we need to now realise innovation and remanufacturing for our bikes now ends. It will likely take some time to realise the repercussions of this - I reckon we really won't know what we've had until it's gone...
I'd suggest a few orders for parts go in from the collective to alleviate Jess' burden too.
All the best Jess in your future endeavours and let us know if you're ever able to reopen.

We appreciate all of your thoughts and kind words.
We are currently getting rid of inventory and suggest that if you are in the states, make the pilgrimage to RR. Bring a truck, bring some cash... we will do the best we can to get you fixed up. I have many parts bikes that I will be willing to let go of...
We also hope that everyone understands that we can no longer respond to "pricing requests". We are treating every communication as if it is an order.
All parts are sold on a first come first served basis...
One of the parts we no longer have is the new check valve. I built 100 of them. It took me 5 years to sell them. That alone is a microcosm of why we are closing.
It pains us greatly, but unfortunately as the saying goes... It is what it is...
Best Regards,

I've only dealt with Jess and RR once, but I have to say it was a pleasure and they were top notch professionals. Best of luck and thanks.

I’m so sorry to hear of the closure of RotaryRecycle but I can understand why. So to Jess and others at RR that made my past RE5 restorations possible I thank you and wish you all the best for the future.

For helping me transform my black A model to the Orange M model I've wanted for nearly 40 years, I thank you both, and wish you well in the future, what ever you do.
Your RE5 energy is second to none, God Bless you Jess and Barb, and THANK YOU again.

Would expect a glut of RE5 spares posted on eBay in the next few months ...Have noted that Jess had stopped posting much on this site lately ??...Has the site and unrelated topics ie :Am rich got a shed load of bikes/Girls on RE5s [sorry i posted on this to] etc etc etc just tipped the balance ..Jess"s posts have always been there to help and offer spares ...no more now

I was just stating a fact that RR/Jess has been posting less on this forum over the last year ?? ..And would not like to put words in his mouth but just thinking apart from other factors the site has changed from when i first joined two years ago , Then i thought the site was run by Rotary Recycle and was a good platform for his shop together with new products RR made like the electronic Ign unit etc ...

Thanks to everyone for their kind replies. It means a great deal to us.
As I have said before, some of the best friends I have made in the world I have found through our shared passion of motorcycles. I will always be grateful for that.
I wish to clear up speculation that I have been hearing. I have seen posted on the web, that "it will be fine, someone is buying him out". This is incorrect and pure speculation. If someone has a plan to step up, and swoop in at the last minute, they are sorely mistaken. Frankly, there is no "fire sale"
I have had inquiries about purchasing our entire stock, but to date, there are no plans in the works or offers to "buy us out".
The overhead required to store and preserve the business is too difficult to maintain in the long run.
I am committed to supplying what I can to the community in the time left.
We WILL be closed as of October 1, 2014.
In the future, I hope to be just another motorcycle enthusiast, once again.
Feel free to repost this message in any other motorcycle forums....
Best regards,

sorry to hear that things hasn't worked out for you. yes EBay is a killer for spares and silly prices. OK I don't own a RE5 but I did own a T500 till I sold it a few years ago. I thought I'll buy another till I saw the spares prices! and a thousand pound for should have been scrap metal. this has put me off all together. its a shame that genuine dealers and owners to can't compete with these rogue sellers. I to get ask how much ,is it genuine, show chrome blah blah. the silly buggers just do not read my ebay add. also give them a price only not to hear from them awhile and they ask again how. so I can understand too well what our friend Jess is going through. bunch of time wasters and tight wads wanting things virtually for nothing.
