To start off I hope I post it right this time, Over the winter I bought a 75 RE5 with just over 16k in fair to good condition with shop manual . It didn't take much to make it run again (it was last running in1992) gas tank cleaned & sealed I removed and cleaned the carb.----- more to the point ---- I'm new to the RE5 motor (well I'm not new I'm older than dirt ) and how it should run the power seems (rpms) to be slow ? and I will need some parts as time goes on chain guard/ turn light/ and other stuff. Rotary Recycle has every part for the Re5...
How many old bikes can say that? Please let me know if there is another type of bike that you can call ONE guy and get anything you need for your bike....
Also, Sam is the most knowledgeable guy in the world with regard to these bikes... Period.
He will take the time on the phone to walk you through a problem as well...
Best,
Jess

Thanks for joining Red. Either Sam or eBay are great places to get parts for these cycles. They actually sell at reasonable prices also from both places compared to other cycles you may need parts for. You can also post your parts wanted as you need them in the Parts Wanted section of the board.
Maybe someday all of us guys in this part of the country can get together for a few days. I think there are 4 or 5 of us within a few hundred miles of a central location. Hopefully there will be more owners on the board soon from this area. I wish there was a website somewhere that you could put in a bunch of addresses and find a central location that is the same distance drive for everyone but I doubt there is anything like that on the web.

Thank's again for the Info. Sound great to me we are in Muskegon Mi. lower Mi. I'm retired and only work part time also buying & selling old Suzuki GT stuff so time for me is not a problem I think it would be great to meet up with other RE5 owners. Red

First weekend in August is always my brothers annual pig roast in Colorado...
Second weekend, I might be able to swing...
