Yup, I fitted an hydraulic one to mine after the NOS one kept on sticking on. No matter what I tried! 5 years and still going strong.

I am following this modification with Stuart with some interest . Modification on a European (low bars) bike would not be possible on the master cylinder as the new switch and wires would foul the flip cover . The brake pipe is a tight bend connection to the master cylinder. Another option could be the splitter under the headlight.??

I wore out the front switch contacts. It took me 300,000 miles. A new switch contact is cheap maintenance.
