To add an avatar, click your profile link on the top of the page. Then click modify profile at the top of the resulting page. Scroll down and you will see where you can add an avatar. You will need to put up an avatar picture somewhere on the web and get the web address to that picture. Put that link where it shows url for your avatar in your profile. Make sure the size shows 100 width and 100 height. It's small, I know but unfortunately that is the biggest that the board allows. Save your changes at the bottom of your profile page. Let me know if further help is needed. You can also click the help link on the top of any page for help with other features of the board.

The avatar has to be hosted on the web. There isn't a way to upload the avatar to the message board.

Excellent!! Glad to see that you got it. To post an image with your message, when you are typing your message, look at the little gray boxes above the smileys. On the bottom row, 4th one from the left is the one to click to add an image. If you put your mouse pointer above the gray box it should pop up a message on your screen 'insert image'. Click that link and in between the 2 image links, put the web address of the photo that you want to add. I hope I explained this ok. It is late and time for sleep.

You have to have a web address where the picture is, such as www.mypicturename.jpgYou click the button that I mentioned in my last post and the following will come up. [/ing] I purposely changed the second img to ing so it would appear in my post here. This is how your link should look No spaces before or after the picture web address.
