I'm updating this original post with new links with new hosting, but have come across a new need. I don't have an RE5A parts manual scanned and can't find a really clear copy. If someone has an RE5A parts manual, taking care to check that it includes updated gauges, tank details, etc, please consider letting me borrow it for a few days. I can quickly scan and author a complete PDF like those listed above and would like to.
I have access to Suzuki Connect which is Suzuki's online parts reference for their dealers. They still list the RE5 so I can get up to date info on availability and interchanges from, so to speak, the horse's mouth.
hunter: G'day Jess and Barbara. I just heard of your announcement today. Sad news for the RE5 community. I have nothing but admiration and gratitude for you and Barbara and previously Sam. You and Barbara must take a long vacation together.

rgh: I am totally ignorant about the RE5, but while checking out an old Honda 125, the lady said she had both a1975 and a 1976 that was her dad's and still had a new part that Suzuki had shipped him. I am now interested. Any help on value?

t140v: Hi H2e, no idea just know that 20/50 was specified for the oil tank, has to be very low ash as otherwise is bungs up the apex and side seals and kills the engine, Castrol GTX or its equivalent was reccomended.

h2e Al In Aus: thanks T140v , thats a good start , is there any reason they dont run 2stroke in tank ?,

t140v: Morning H2e, most people reccomend a good quality 20/50 for engine and oil tank 10/40 for the gearbox, 20/50 in the gearbox makes the starter clutch slip. Don't forget the oil filter you need a quality filter with a non return valve.
