I look forward to attending this event every year. If your really into rotaries of all genres and like beautiful scenery along with exhilarating twisty roads then the DGRR is the place for you. Here's a picture of my RE in the back of a friends REPU. For more detailed info about the meet, here's a link: dealsgaprotaryrally.com/ Attachments:

Wow, I never knew about this rally. The triples guys hold a 2 stroke meet there every year, I think in May. I have never gone but from the movies I have seen of Deals Gap it is a great place to stay and ride. Thanks for posting about the meet. Nice RE5 too.

Thats only a few weeks before the Kawasaki/Suzuki/Yamaha two stroke meet held annually in May. DG has great riding roads all around the area BUT if the weather is acting up it can be a real PITA. In 2009 it was rainy for most of the meet in May, and because of this it folded up a bit sooner than planned, it was nothing like the great weather in May of 08 we had.

Thanks Gary. It's a blast, this will be my 4th year there. The plan this year is to take a few bikes there other than mine which will be sweet because this will give people some different rotaries to look at other than the usual cars. Its an indescribable feeling you get when your carving up Deals Gap within a group of highly modded rotaries with engines running in unison along with the smell of fuel and 2-stroke filling the air. CANT WAIT!

Phil Sohn the organizer of the event made this statement 3/05/10: "Thanks guys! I can't wait for this year's event!! Best one so far and might be best in the country!! I think more cars from all around the country than 7stock!!! Again, thank you all for signing up!! 3 more have signed up this morning after I posted the 209... Hope we could break 300. If that happens, I think DGRR have made it as one of the top events in the country and Modified Mag could write something about it." And just to give everyone an idea about the distance traveled by many enthusiast, here is a map a friend of mine made on the forum along with a list of the types of rotaries attending: maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=112573114357460901015.00047fc2089d9be14dbaf

I would be out there in the REPU if it did better than 10mpg. Would almost be cheaper to ship it out and fly myself over.

No problemo, it was great! I really enjoyed taking the RE5 through the gap. That was the first time for me with a bike on that road and a heavy bike really exhausted me. Here's another beauty. Attachments
