Nearly bought one of those a couple of years ago but it was in the $100's so I came to my senses!

$100 ? You could buy a good none runner for spares a few years ago. That said I would like it along side my other models. A great read Wayne ? Thanks. I remember some of it but it’s good to reminisce and hopefully a twin RE will be made one day.

A request to Allen Millyard to build a twin rotor motor could be interesting, I believe he enjoys a challenge judging by his many other multi cylinder creations.

Asked him a few years ago. No joy! You could try again- he's almost finished his Z900 6 cyl #2...

That chap rocks as far as adding cylinders, rotaries need great engineering precision. Have you come across a company called Rotron UAV they appear to have a flexible approach to customer requirements, cost might rule out a twin rotor, they have single rotor motors, and deep pockets could help. I like what Billet Rotary have done for Mazda fans, again at a price.

There's already somebody working on a Suzuki twin rotor and he calls it "Dual Rotor Re5 + Katana = Rotana R1000 Build" More details here: www.instagram.com/jdblue189/And 2 pictures to start with:

Mr Millyard please step aside. This is a fascinating project, and one that deserves to succeed, please keep up the progress reports for those not on instagram. Many thanks susi.

He's probably not on here as he's too afraid he might get flamed by the OEM crew.... you know who you are!

Just a few more pictures of the twin rotor build Jdblue189 is doing. He`s had it running for about 10 seconds but it started leaking coolant. He has a new midplate machined but just needs to put it back together this winter.

Ive thought about a twin many a time and I guess the obvious place to start would be an Ro80 engine since that is effectively a twin rotor RE5 engine. The end plates and centre plates are cast iron on these but copying these in alloy like an RE5 engine would help with the weight. I do wonder what Suzukis plan for 2 carbs and the exhausts were? Was the engine proper orientated the same ie were the intake and exhaust ports located in the same place or was the 'proper' rotated? Lastly I wonder where the primary chain takeoff was? Was it in the same place and the engine just poked out further on the LH side? If only I had another lifetime..... too many projects on the go already regards Terry
