What I remember is that they were using kevlar. In those days making it with colors was problematic, so they hyped the silver color as a positive feature.

Is this what you are wearing in the Nov 30, 2021 picture? I've been thinking about a silvered outer cover to keep cool on the hot days. Was never aware that it was something (formerly) commercially available. Some googling found a 1977 article in CycleWorld magazine but not much else online. Yes, I wore a one piece suit for quite some time. My Wife preferred the two piece suit. The suits had a reputation as about as strong as leathers but did not have todays body armour built in. Calafia also had nice saddlebag matching soft luggage to carry into Hotels. Tim

What great adventures.
Could that be the short lived Nylon rear sprocket in the last picture ?

Brian Yes, an early NEP. My thoughts were quieting the chain and possibly having the sprocket absorb some lube.
I guess I was lucky it didn't spin off some teeth on the trip
I put on the later design before putting the bike away for years as I drove my hi-miler and my other A.
Todays picture of my Firemist and Henry Abe wheel.

Our Smoke customs has my Corbin seat custom fitted while we both sat on on an extended fork leg. as I just brought
Corbin the pan. We went for lunch and they had covered it!
Maries mr.seats later got the expertise trimming and fitting by Rotorious as well as a transfer to a steel pan.

I was able to narrow it down a bit. My bike turned over 46,000 Mi on that trip, 26 months

I have some photos but not the very organised trip notes (some may be surprised at that!). Well done, great mementos.
Amazing what you can fit on a bike.......
