Temp Gauge differences.... why am I not surprised?

Roger's been restoring some M model instrument cans and found a difference (not interchangeable) between temp gauge "displays".


Has anyone been aware of this previously?

Thanks for posting photos Wayne.
The differences with the temp display is also the unit that has the different odometer knob position.
The units may have been produced by a different manufacturer?? Earlier or later ??
