Well my beautiful RE finally went to a good home in NC! SOLD 8-14-21
Hello,
I am very new to the RE5 scene. I have been a car person forever and long time 2 stroke power getter. I have owned numerous dirt bikes, quads and such. I do have one street bike a Honda Dream 305 and original patina condition. I collect cars but I am running out of space so I am thinning the cars and getting into bikes. Lot less space! I will be taking home a 75 RE5 M from a current member here real soon. Very exited. I have never done anything with the rotaries be it car or bikes. Never realized there was such a thing until recent. Glad to see such a loyal following of odd mechanics! I love anything that is very non ordinary and different and the RE sure fits that nitch.

Welcome Tim,
Never realized there was such a thing until recent.
You aren't alone as many Suzuki Dealers were not allowed to even sell the Rotary as a prequisite to sell the bikes required that a
dealership send their mechanic to 4-5 days of service school first.

Definitely way cool for sure. I am very excited to get my Bike. I think I found one in very good condition and not too far away. And yes the forums are where it is at. I have found more and better info on forums when problems arise than anywhere. I am also very happy for the great bunch of people that are members. This is new to me with the street bikes and I am sure to have lots of reading and learning, very fun.

Glad to see such a loyal following of odd mechanics! Steady on with the old reference there Tim! Some of us are still under the half century.... just.... Welcome, ask questions here as there are lots of rally knowledgeable people around. Also join the Facebook group as it's fairly active and a quick and easy way to post photos up. Oh yeah, hope you're not shy. These bikes tend to generate a fair bit of interest when you take them out! Andy

Thanks for the warm welcomes! And Andy I especially like the re5 for its unusual nature and the attention. I very much like different vehicles and the RE sure fits that.
Thanks everyone,
Tim
