The thought just occurred to me the other night "I wonder if Greg has spoken with Nick ?"
I can't believe the unfortunate coincidence. I first used Nick in 2011 and he's been operating a lot longer than that. I haven't searched, but I'd be a little surprised if there was anyone else who had it down to such a fine and economical art as Nick.
Try contacting Steve Leembruggen at Old Gold Motorcycles (Australia). He imports a lot of bikes, I think mostly from Japan but if anyone had contacts, he would. I've also got a mate who's imported dozens but I won't be able to speak to him for at least a few days. He used to use Nick but he's probably got a few others up his sleeve.
Last resort is to do it yourself by finding shipping firms and using an agent in Australia (I used Mainfreight). It can be done but back in 2010 it cost me around $2,200 to 2,500 vs Nick at 900. The former may have included GST, Nick's price didn't.
