Can someone advise where the vacuume hose from the points housing should be connected to. Looking at the end of the hose it is swollen and appears to have been once connected to something.

It's not connected to anything Allen. It just runs up under the tank and is lightly secured among the wiring looms. It's just a breather.

Thanks Wayne, I could not find anything that it might connect to, but the end of the hose looked like it had been pushed onto a barb at some stage, and yes it is just run up along the wiring loom and frame rail under the tank.
