Al, you'll see some spectacular bikes up there. If you see a showroom blue H2, showroom gold TX750 and/or a showroom X7 ridden by a lady, introduce yourself to Steve and Wil, he was a Suzuki dealer, sold RE5's and now owns one he bought from RR.
That X7 is as close to new as you'll ever get. It's assembled from so many new parts, it pretty much is new. They are mutual friends with Geoff whom you met down the south coast.

Will do Wayne but not happy!!! if hes taking his H2 as mine is pritty good but ridden a lot , but I'm so not interested in winning anything as my bikes are for me , this is really unusual for me to go to a gathering of people as I'm not a people person generally , but the Re5s may have changed me , as I'm enjoying riding them so much , the H2 and the GSXR are getting jealous (I dont think thats the way its spelt), I think they are a bad Drug !!, but fun

I guess that I've lost interest in going to "shows" these days Al. I like the riding too much. I'll be at the Red Scarf rally in the Illawarra on the weekend of the VJM at Canberra.
The VMCC club run a Bathurst Easter rally. It is a fantastic week with 100+ vintage bikes. It's all about the riding, there's no "show" per se. One week with rides morning and afternoon on beautiful isolated roads. It's a feast of riding enjoyment.
I think it starts March 29th this year. I can send you an entry form if you're interested. Only problem is getting accommodation.
Steve dare not open his trophy cabinet these days, there'd be such an explosion of trophies he'd never get it repacked. I think the H2 has won several categories including "Bike of the rally". To his credit though, he rides them all. That X7 is his wife's rider for all the rallies but still looks immaculate.

Well big weekend in canberra at the VJMC Rally lots of great bikes there, well worth seeing , Rotaries we a big hit with the crowd ,there were lots of H2s there , my friends and I partied a bit hard didnt make it to the Awards , found out later when I got home that that My H2 got best triple of show !!, not bad concidering the competition . had a couple of hicups on way home the A model started to not open Secondary butterfly (catching in bore ), which is problably why its has so few mls on it , so thats an easy fix , the Mach IV droped a CDI box (lucky I carried a spare )time to get some new boxes from USA , thats what you get if you ride 40yr old bikes !!, are well off to clean my babies , urs Al in Aus

A coworker back then had a 70 500 triple and I seem to remember those bikes had one heck of a strong spark!
Best of show, Congratulations Al.
