First a rant.... It seems the Yahoo and AT&T felt that my E Mail was working waaaaay to smoothly and some college boy decided that they needed to improve and upgrade it to justify his salary. Now it barely works at all, won't upload photos, the E Mails don't fit in the cut down window and is super slow. So to upload photos of this bike show I used a G Mail account which worked perfectly. Thanks Yahoo, do you even test your stuff before you roll it out?
There, I feel much better .
We had a local bike show put on by the Kansas City Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club and THAT was well organized and a very good time. Bikes, swap meet, swag, food, all the good stuff. My friend Brian and I rode over on I 429 and the RE5 did quite well (thank you) and was able to run up to 75 - 80 mph with absolutely no problems and I had no problems hanging with his very nice KZ900. RE5's rock on the highway brotha....
We got there late and we both had to leave early so we didn't officially enter the bikes but the nice people running the show kind of let us show our bikes on the side and we met a lot of nice folks. We both got a participant's ribbon which was cool and there were no fights with the Harley guys.
There was one other RE5 there owned by a guy named Larry and I fear I didn't spend enough time with him as we were under a time limit and I wanted to check everything out. Super cool guy though and his '76 had sidecar lugs on it AND LESTER WHEELS. He said he would rot in hell before he ever sold those Lesters to me (just kidding). Larry said he just recently joined this forum so maybe we will see him around!
I have a bunch of pictures so if you will bear with me I'll work on getting some posted.
I will add some more later.... That is Brian's KZ and the black A is Larry's RE5.
