Went to Barber Vintage Motorcycle Event this weekend. Rode my 1975 RE5M around the track for 3 parade laps. Won trophy for Sweetest Sounding Single Cylinder Japanese Bike. I know, it has no cylinder, but they didn't care.

DAMN!!!!!
Was supposed to go to Barber with a friend of mine from NC. I was already in Florida dropping off my girlfriend's son's Virago (he's starting college). Being as I'm in the heating business, I had to cut the trip short, as the weather in NY crapped its pants. So, there I was, with a half empty enclosed trailer (I had my Fatboy), and one of the largest bike show/swap meets just e few hours west. Oh yes. I was miffed.
My buddy walked the show, texting me pictures of a very sweet red RE5, as well as all of the other cool stuff I missed.
I will not miss Barber again.
All was not lost however. Aquired another 66 Ducati Cadet and a 70 Honda 70 (Passport?).
Yay, rusty motorcycles!

The Red RE5 your buddy took pictures of was probably mine. It was in the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club's bike show. The only other RE5 I saw there was in the swap meet for sale.
