I just got back from the Quail Lodge Show in Carmel Valley, California. Link to pictures is below. I did not get any awards but my RE5 did get a lot of attention. I did do a video interview with Motorcycles.com about the RE5 and this should be online sometme in the future. Motorcycle Classic Magazine also spoke to me about my RE5. Motorcycles.com wants to take my Re5 for a ride in the future for an article during the upcoming MotoGp at Laguna Seca as the track is just a couple of miles from my house. Overall a great show and some beautiful machines. The Aluminum tank RD350 Cafe racer belongs to my son Ben. LINK bdalameda.smugmug.com/Other/Quail-Motorcycle-Gathering-May/22816961_8M5RnCDan

Very nice! Look forward to seeing your bike in some articles! I saw that coffee cart autorickshaw thing when I went to Moto GP at Laguna Seca a couple years ago, like that thing!

Nice photos (and nice bike). We have the ride into history coming up here soon. Last year there was an RE5M there for the first time. That's what got me interested in the RE5 again. I'll try to post some pictures if I get there. Maybe by next year I'll have one of the two "project bikes" done to have it there. Hope I can do something close to the beautiful job done on yours. Right now they're both rolling rust buckets.

Wow. You didn't get an award with that bike? Looks awesome. Shame about the old bloke standing next to it with the RE5 t shirt on...... :-)
Joking! Very nice bike and good to see the son has followed as well- I have a bit of a soft spot for the old 2 strokers. Nice.
One day I hope to restore my two but am concentrating on rebuilding the motors and getting them running first!

Beautiful day for a bike meet by the look of it. Look at that grass- we're only just recovering from years of drought down here.
Nice A model Dan and great job on the RD cafe.

Great pictures Dan, and fantastic work on your bike. All the others look good too. I see more and more beautifully maintained and restored motorcycle, from all origins and still constantly in awe of how good they look.

Thanks Wayne - I have been waiting to see if they would actually show this video or not. Been waiting and watching for it. I had assumed it was not good enough so they had dropped it. Looks like I could stand to lose a few pounds - LOL!!
