I am planning an RE5 dyno day at a venue on the central coast. I believe the man at the controls is one of Australia's premier dyno diagnosticians. Furthermore, it is a "mate's" day so not a formal booking and the cost will be considerably less than you'd pay normally.
The day will be a Saturday, probably late April.
The day will of course involve the ride up which we can make as convoluted as required and there will be a sausage sizzle at the venue.
As well as the novelty of the dyno, it may actually tell us interesting things about carburetion.

RE5 dyno day is on. Bookings have been made for 5 and possibly up to 7 RE5's and one Norton rotary.
Too late for the dyno and sausage sizzle, but if Sydney riders want to meet other RE5 owners........Saturday 19th of May, leaving at 09:00 at the 7/11 garage (Pacific Hwy south of Berowra Railway station) departing to Jim's at Kulnura for a chat and coffee and then on to the dyno shop.

Very disappointing for me spent an hour and a half traveling to the meeting point only to brake down at asqith 5ks short of the meeting spot. Finally got it running to be half hour late at berowra . So thought id be able to catch up on the old PAC but to my surprise coming around corner just past the pie in the sky a helicopter in the middle of the road and the old PAC shut. So I had to turn around and go home. Maybe next time

Bummer. We waited extra time for you but had to leave. I checked my mobile for messages.
We arrived at that accident (a severe head on between two bikes with three people) minutes after it happened. We had a doctor with us (a former rescue chopper medic no less) so he attended. By the time the police, ambos and fire truck arrived we decided we'd better sneak through the rubble and get away before they closed the road. The doctor stayed behind and caught up later.
Fantastic day, loads of information. See post in Tuning and Troubleshooting in a few days.
