I have been using Evans Coolant for many years in all my vehicle, cars and bikes. It is the very best coolant available in my opinion. Since it contains no water the boiling point is 375 degrees and without water no corrosion or oxides can form in the cooling system. Also there is no pressure buildup in the system due to the high boiling point, without the pressure , hoses gaskets etc. last much longer and the potential for leaks is reduced. The coolant is expensive but it is consideed a permanent coolant so in the long run it is less expensive. It works just fine in my RE5 - I use the NPG+ Evans in my RE5.

I ran Evans in my 93 rx7 for awhile. It was great and all, but the problem I had was when I did have a cooling issue I couldn't top it off with with a $0.59 gallon of distilled water, I had to haul around an extra jug of Evans.

You can mix water with Evans in an emergency. Being that the capacity of an RE5 cooling system is not very much replacing the water contaminated coolant would not be too much of a big deal. I personally think the advantages of the coolant especially the lubrication of the water pump seal and bearing outweigh the inconvenience. It is pretty rare to ever have a cooling system problem on an RE5.

Has anyone else successfully used "Waterless coolant" in their RE5, typically the UK?

I have thought about using waterless coolant. And advised not to by a Mazda mechanic. His thoughts were the viscosity and flow through the RE5 system would not be fluid and not all the chamber would be cooled correctly with water pump. The RE5 rad flow is not at best efficient so re core with correct flow seems to work for me . As I said, I've never tried it.
