I know they changed at some point. My bike is a "M" model. Let us know what you find.

Mine is a dealer converted M. Which still makes it an "A". After deciding to make the A with single points and converting showroom M's to A's they also got dealers or contractors to go around and disconnect the B points on all remaining M models that they could get to.
However, the B points working or not have no bearing on the hesitation (unfortunately, it would be great to just find ONE thing you could blame). As you probably now, they are only active on overrun and only down to 1700 rpm from memory. If the B system is faulty or disconnected, the bike simply runs the A point system.
This carby, as mentioned, is probably NOS. Nevertheless, it has been cleaned as well.
Thinking about it and reading the book again, I'm going to pull the carby and all the jets and use compressed air through as many circuits as I can get to and try again before doing anything else.
If that doesn't do anything to help, I'll move towards getting rid of the hesitation by any means.
I might see about a larger secondary main jet instead of using a larger primary. I might also raise the float height incrementally to see if there is any effect.
